Family History

By Barry January 5, 2009

For more than 20 years I have been a genealogist. But I prefer to say that I am a family historian. A family historian is just that, someone who researches, documents, and preserves family history.

Most of my family history can be traced through Pennsylvania in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The migration pattern was simple. Start in the east and move west, so that by the late 19th century most of my ancestors were living in a 30-mile diameter that encompassed Armstrong, Clarion, Indiana, and Jefferson counties.

About these pages: To the right are links to pages with access to some of my database files. These are password-protected and available only to family members. Below is a list of the primary names/lines of my research include. Clicking on a link there will give you more information about the line but no significant information is displayed on the following pages.

One more important note: Biking and Refereeing, including assigning and teaching, occupies all my time from March through December. I acknowledge all inquiries but am slow to respond or perform further research until the winter months. Don't lose my contact info. If you don't hear back from me, contact me again later.
